Fitness Corps is an outdoor exercise program that emphasizes strength training and aerobic exercise.
It is designed to challenge and assist women, men and children as they work to improve their levels of fitness and incorporate daily exercise into their lives. Fitness Corps encourages clients to set goals and achieve them through a carefully monitored exercise program directed by certified instructors. At Fitness Corps we believe that "Health is your ultimate wealth," and that daily exercise should be fun and rewarding.

What is Fitness Corps? This is the program you have been looking for.

Fitness Corps is an outdoor-based fitness program designed to help people lose weight, gain muscle tone, achieve health and fitness goals, and most importantly, feel good about themselves.
Classes meet for one hour at locations throughout the D.C. metro area, including Bethesda, Great Falls, Georgetown, Palisades, and downtown Washington, D.C.  Classes are led by ACE (American Council
on Exercise) certified trainers.

How is Fitness Corps different than a gym?

Group support - Who misses you when you don't show up to the gym? One of the things we are most proud
of is the solidarity that forms within classes. If you are missing from class, you can bet you will be hearing from one of your new friends. It is Fitness Corps supportive atmosphere and camaraderie that helps people thrive.

Goal setting: Each client works with a trainer to outline long and short-term goals. Clients are in regular contact with their trainers to assess progress and make any necessary changes to the program. Additionally,  quarterly fitness evaluations provide further objective data regarding progress.
Fitness evaluations: Each client receives an initial fitness evaluation upon joining the program. This includes: body fat assessment, blood pressure checks, abdominal endurance, upper body strength, and fitness planning.  Subsequently, quarterly evaluations are performed to assess areas of strength and weakness.
Outdoors: Most folks are inside all day long. Why not exercise outdoors? The great outdoors
allows for increased variety, fresh air, and FUN!!!

What do you get when you join Fitness Corps?

Personal training at group rates: Although you are participating in a group class, you will receive one-on-one time with your trainer throughout your participation with Fitness Corps. This includes goal-setting sessions, fitness evaluations, and race support. Fitness Corps uses a health screening questionnaire that is based on recommendations from the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force.

ACE Certified trainers: All Fitness Corps trainers are certified by the American Council on Exercise.
They are active in the local fitness community and participate in various road races, bike races, and triathlons.

Various locations throughout the D.C. area: Morning, mid-day and evening classes are offered in Bethesda, Great Falls, Georgetown, Palisades and downtown D.C. Don't see a location near you? If you can get a group of 8 to 10 friends and neighbors together for a minimum of 3-days a week, we'll bring a class to you!

Advanced fitness classes: Want to train for a half-marathon, triathlon or Century Bike ride? We offer endurance runs, long bike rides, track work outs, and triathlon conditioning. Not sure how to train for a long race or triathlon? We will work with you to develop a training schedule that meets your needs.
